The latest unisex Nike Gyakusou capsule follows Jun Takahashi's desire to deliver distinct performance running apparel designed for the modern runner. It features two t-shirt options complete with reinterpreted 70s-era Nike graphics (one calling out famed Tokyo running spot, Yoyogi Park), two shorts options and a track suit. The latter employs a new class of breathable, engineered Nike Therma-FIT technology to provide zoned warmth and air flow to help keep runners at their optimal temperature. Jun Takahashi Channels the Rebel Spirit of Running for Fall 2019 GYAKUSOU Collection

Image
The Fall 2019 Nike Gyakusou Collection If one considers GYAKUSOU a club — the GYAKUSOU International Running Association (GIRA) — its constituents are those who value running for its intangible benefit: finding elusive peace. For fall 2019, Jun Takahashi gave this value a physical incarnation by pulling graphic inspiration for the latest GYAKUSOU collection from the bold rebel spirit of the 1970s running revolution. With his Gyakusou collections, now almost 10 years deep, Takahashi's intent is to blend high-performance wear with the urban landscape. This forms, in some respect, a symbiosis between fluid movement and static environment, a desire held for all of his output. Jun Takahashi's Gyakusou Collection Champions Fluid Functionality  3 "I intentionally include earthy colors. It is important to bring together my aesthetics with Nike’s functionality," he notes. Gyakusou SP19 continues to pair Takahashi's style with ...
