Why Nike’s First Sneaker Club for Kids is a Parent’s Best Friend

The experience of shoe-shopping for young kids is deceptively complex. At first glance, it’s all about the child – but as many parents know, it can be just as much an experience for them. The reasons why are universal: Kids’ feet are continually growing, and many kids can’t articulate what they want, even after shoebox after shoebox comes out of the backroom. (The foot size issue isn’t helped by the fact that 60% of people, kids included, are walking around in the wrong-sized shoe at any given time.) But now, a solution: Nike Adventure Club, Nike's first footwear subscription service for children. Nike Announces Long-Term Youth Sports Partnerships in London

Nike celebrated with more than 500 of London’s elite athletes, community partners and young people at the historic Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, home of the London Youth Games Finals weekend, to champion the people that are already inspiring and enabling the next generation of young people across the city. In London, Nike is demonstrating its commitment to getting young people moving through a range of long-term partnerships. Chief among these is a multi-year engagement with the London Youth Games, which reaches 140,000 young people across 33 boroughs in 30 sports and is London’s largest provider of youth sporting opportunities for more than 40 years. Throughout its history, the London Youth Games has provided a pathway for some of the greatest athletes to come from the city, including Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho, Alex Scott, Dina Asher Smith and Mo Farah. Children in Moscow can try a 400-meter fun run with a warm-up led by Nike Run Club coaches, then participate in a playful training day with sessions of football, basketball, dance lessons and more at Nike Box MSK on May 1. Acting as one hub for Nike's "Made to Play" initiative, Nike Box MSK has partnered with organizations including Tagsport, Children Sport Foundation and Perspektiva to offer programing for 7-12 year olds throughout the year.
