How Three ACG Pieces Challenge Nike to Sync Functional and Sustainable Design

 The principles behind Nike ACG and those that guide sustainable design meet in literally transformative ways. When top-notch gear can withstand all kinds of weather and terrain, it can cultivate a presence in the outdoors, which encourages a love for it — and is a first step toward protecting it. The spring 2021 ACG collection builds from the sustainably-minded footing of last year’s capsule by using thoughtful methods to design versatile, layerable gear that still point to a circular future. Nike Mercurial TN

July 24, 2019 - Pulling stylistic elements from both the new Nike Mercurial and the Nike Air Max Plus, the Nike Mercurial TN is all about combining street and speed. Inspired by the Fall 2019 Mercurial Boot, the capsule features four new colorways. Two OG models highlight the group, and are most heavily influenced by the iconic boot via its the use of oversized Swoosh and an iridescent checkered graphic that nods to traditional football kits. Additionally, two pairs of the TN Ultra carry a subtle repeat checkerboard pattern and lower profile midsole. A Nike Kids version takes the Mercurial pattern on the heel and a triple black base.
